Help us protect children from grooming: Be part of important research

Grooming is a set of manipulative techniques used by child sexual abusers to facilitate the abuse and reduce the risk of detection. In organizations working with children, it often manifests itself as a subtle crossing of the boundaries of the professional relationship.

The Department of Social Work of the FSE UJEP, as part of the Together Against Grooming initiative, is conducting research entitled "Grooming and its prevention in organizations working with children" . The aim is to map the dynamics of this phenomenon in the Czech and Slovak environment and improve preventive measures.

More detailed information about the research and specific examples of grooming can be found here.

Who are we looking for?

  • Exclusively adults who have been the direct target of grooming or witnessed grooming in the past.

  • Experience must relate to settings such as schools, sports clubs, leisure groups, church or community organizations, and other children's groups.
