What is grooming?
Sexual abuse is mostly preceded by and connected with complex manipulation - grooming.
Grooming is a term used to describe a combination of various manipulative tactics that can be compared to setting a trap. The bait must be tempting, and the mechanism solid and sophisticated enough so that the trapped victim has no way to escape.
Grooming is part of modus operandi of approximately 80% of offenders. Understanding its dynamics and recognizing the elements it consists of is a key part of preventing the sexual abuse of children.

Our Goal
Our goal is to raise awareness about grooming and thereby enable those around to intervene in time.
The more people recognize grooming, the more children will be safe.
We want to bring this project to places where it can make a real difference: to cinemas, schools, sports clubs, libraries, lecture halls… to all the places where children, young people, and those who care for them gather and spend time.
We have decided to use the film Broken Voices as the educational tool for our campaign as we believe it creates a unique opportunity for this kind of debate.
Bring this important discussion about grooming to your own community as well. Choose from the options below and contact us.
Cooperation opportunities

Broken Voices
The feature film Broken Voices sensitively and powerfully depicts the process of grooming within the environment of a prestigious girls’ choir. Rather than focusing on sensationalism, it highlights the gradual building of trust: flattery, special attention, the intertwining of care and manipulation, which eventually leads to boundary-crossing. Thanks to its authentic setting, strong performances, and restrained yet intense style, the film reveals grooming mechanisms that often remain hidden from the public.
It was this film that inspired the co-founder of the Together Against Grooming project, Doc. ThDr. Mgr. Slávka Karkošková, to translate her professional insights into a series of articles and methodological materials dedicated to the prevention of sexual abuse and the protection of children in institutions. Her publications aim to transfer the film’s portrayal of risk perception into practical guidance: they provide concrete indicators, recommended procedures for schools and organizations, and tools for educating professionals and parents so that grooming can be recognized and addressed promptly and effectively.
